Easter Vigil Mass
Tonights Easter Vigil Mass was wonderful as usual. If you've ever been to one and were able to pay attention for the entire 4 hours, you know how great it really is. I love entering the dark church, hearing the salvation history readings, watching the light spread as we each light our candle from the one next to us, hearing Father sing the liturgy, smelling the incense, getting holy water thrown at me, watching someone get baptized, someone getting their first communion, renewing our baptismal vows, all the songs. I love to hear the Litany of the Saints, Christ Be Our Light, Out of Darkness, Roll Away the Stone. Seeing my church family is always wonderful. Our Five O'Clock Choir is so good! And not just because Jacob plays guitar for them! And the wonderful food after mass! Miss Helga and AnnMarie and the others always do such an incredible job! The Church is abundant in Her wisdom. Thank God for the gift of the Eucharist! This is the night when Heaven meets earth! Thank you to everyone at Our Lady of the Visitation! Happy Easter! He is risen! Alleluia, Alleluia!
